Day 18 – March 18th 2013
So today marks a whole new era in for Bureau. We were once based in Covent Garden, then Camden Town and from today we based in Acton. Yes, I know – it’s does look like a gradual progression in the wrong direction, but it is a big step forward for us. So Acton, West London – tell me more, you’re saying. What is so special about Acton? Well it is where Waite, Rose and Taylor opened their first store. Maybe you know them as Waitrose now? It is where parts of Minder were set including The Winchester Club and Arthur Daley’s car lot. Still not impressing you? Well it is also where Only Fools and Horses was filmed. Peckham? Apparently not – the Trotter’s flat was actually a tower block in Acton just round the corner from here in Bureau Towers. So today’s question is…
Q: What was the name of Del and Rodney’s tower block in Only Fools and Horses? (the fictional name in the series)
A: Nelson Mandela House
